FITNESS-FOR-USE INSPECTION AND ISSUING OF A FIRE-ARM CERTIFICATE

Why Do You Need a Certificate?

The fitness for use certificate for a weapon is needed by anyone who needs to extend his/her weapon carrying and use permit or who needs to include in the list a newly acquired second-hand weapon. Bear in mind that a usability certificate may be issued only by a repair-work permit holder - a gunsmith. Our permit is issued to Sole Trader Stoil Atanasov - ASN

How certificates are issued:

To receive such a fitness-for-use certificate, the client must present his/her weapon for inspection together with a permit for carrying or purchasing of the weapon.

* IMPORTANT - the permit validity period must not have expired.
Following a thorough inspection of the functionality of the weapon with particular focus on the secure safety-lock operation and correct de-cocker bolt operation, we issue a fitness-for-use certificate for the weapon on the grounds of Article 47 and Article 87 of the Law on Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives and Pyrotechnic Articles, affirming that the owned firearm has passed the technical inspection for operational fitness, safety and suitability for hunting, guarding, self-protection and sports.
The time required for the inspection is around half an hour and the weapon does not have to be left with the gunsmith.
The validity period of the fitness-for-use certificate is 6 (six) months from the date of issuing.

The Cost of Issuing:

The cost for issuing of a fitness-for-use certificate is BGN 6 (six) per weapon. (3,5 euro) * For more information please contact us
